New ADA Platform In the Works

Everyone should have the opportunity to explore the ocean, and we’re working to help divers and snorkelers access our lagoon. A new concrete pier/platform will be installed in this section of the lagoon, attached to land, for people in wheelchairs. A hoist with a seat will be used to lower them into the lagoon so they can check out the sea life and artifacts in our lagoon or get SCUBA certified with their instructors.

This project has been funded by a few committed donors, including Chairman Ian Koblick. However, we will need ongoing funds to maintain the hoist and ensure operations for years to come.
